Costuming a Renaissance 

Sabrina Garcia-Rubio, proprietor of Maude Vintage Clothing & Costumes, made the decision to relinquish her 3000 square feet of costume rentals after 20 years of costuming mid-Missouri. With a global pandemic and increase in rent, moving locations for yet a third time was also a determining factor. Sabrina speaks on what costuming has meant to her, the artistry of vintage, and how a shop can contribute to culture as we know it. This short documentary follows Sabrina over the course of seven plus months as she prepares, evaluates, and plows ahead for a rebirth of Maude Vintage Clothing.
